..Dark of The Moon..

Dasyat kan penangan movie ni.. Mula-mula we planned to watch 3D version, tapi semalam, survey punya survey, almost all cinemas are full-house, then we have to settle for non-3D at MBO Taman U.

Since we bought 1230 am ticket, dah macam nak balik kampung pun ada - siap tido dulu sebelum pergi cinema hehe.

For me, I enjoyed watching it despite my interest nowadays are no longer into action-pack genre. But I don't adore the heroin (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley) much since she's all that supermodel type of girl - I find that character is not real. With all the sci-fiction characters of Autobots, Sentinel, Megatron blabla, at least I wish that the human characters would look more 'real'. Even En Hubby said Megan Fox is more preferable. *And dia dapat cubitan percuma selepas komen itu dibuat haha

Lepas ni maybe kami akan pergi tengok 3D pulak bila demam Transformers ni kurang sikit nanti.

..Makang Ikang..

Untuk memulihkan semangat yang down seperti yang digambarkan di previous post, let's talk about lighter stuff, so, mari belajar bahasa Terengganu :)

I personally think that Terengganu slang is a hard slang to be spoken. Through my observation, jarang orang negeri-negeri lain would spontaneously imitate Terengganu slang, well, of course, except for the phase of 'makang ikang' where obviously the alphabet 'g' will be highly emphasized. LOL.

Normally kalau sebut negeri pantai timur, I think Kelantan slang is more famous and user-friendly kot. As a major example, peoplee would be able to pronounce "Kelate' without fail, where as for Terengganu, people would mistakenly go for "Ganu".

Yes, the correct pronunciation is "Tranung", not "Ganu". Try listen to "Kita tengok penyu telur" song by Iklim, they pronounce it as "na, na, na, na Tranung kita", not "ganu kita". And I'm pretty sure the person responsible behind the "Ganu" is Pak Nil (Aznil Nawawi) because I remember watching TV when I was 14 or 15 years young, and there was this one TV show of him coming to Terengganu and he used the word. That was the first time I ever heard of the word "Ganu".

OK. That's the first lesson. hehehe.

Apa lagi ye...Owh, do you know that 'sebutan bersabdu' is very essential to interpret the meaning of a Terengganu sentence.

Contoh:

"Ikang makang kucing".

Sebenarnya dekat perkataan 'makang' tu, kena ada sabdu sikit pada 'm' tu supaya maksudnya jadi "ikan dimakan oleh kucing" instead of "ikan makan kucing"

Adoi, I actually feel funny while writing this. Hahahaha.

Nantilah sambung lagi. Apa-apa pun, I heart Terengganu :)

P/s : Ada sesapa pernah baca "Growing Up In Terengganu" tak? I always wanted to buy that book, but always ending up buying 'more appealing' book everytime I hit the book store. Ok tak buku tu?

..Of Jobstreet..

I remember the enthusiasm of job-hunting few years ago. Memang hari-hari check, hari-hari apply, looking forward for interviews, getting thrilled if I got one and even more thrilled to be accepted.

Those were the days...........................

But as of nowadays, every time I browse through Jobstreet - all I feel is upset, depress and what not. *Don't feel like elaborating................

I don't mean to whine over this again and again, but.................. *cry.

Semoga Allah sentiasa permudahkan urusanku.

But on a positive note, at least I've started doing something that I love. Need to work harder on that, tho'. InsyaAllah.

..Kisah Saya, Tudung dan Encik Suami..

Sejak beberapa bulan ni saya macam addicted to tudung pulak. Which comes to En Hubby concern "Kenapa selalu sangat beli tudung ni, tak cukup lagi ke, beli-beli tapi tak pakai pun, hanger-hanger tudung tu dah penuh dah.." and so on..

Tapi bulan ni saya 'rasa' macam tak de beli tudung so dengan bangganya saya bagitau achievement ni kat En hubby. Tapi tak pulak dia puji achievement saya tu...

Btw, hobi tengok blogshop tudung masih continue on. Satu hari En hubby tengok saya duk belek-belek satu blog tudung ni..

En Hubby : nak beli tudung ke?
Me : takla, tengok jek... (guna intonasi ala-ala sayu sket)
En Hubby : hmm..belilah kalau nak beli..

Hehehe...

..Dendam positif..

Ini cerita saya dengar dari IKIM.fm. Pagi-pagi time pergi kerja ada satu segmen motivasi pagi - and being me, I do need that.

This topic was aired a couple months ago and I have been drafting this entry since then only to post it today (padahal copy paste je pun). Trust me, it's a very inspiring true story.

I did some research on the internet to share this meaningful story because I couldn't really remember the details and found this webpage.

Let's ponder...

In an oil company in Saudi Arabia, late 1940s. A young local mineworker felt very thirsty, he then looked for drinking water desperately. In one of the office building he found cold water so he just quickly poured the water to a cup and was ready to drink it.

Hadn't he put the glass of water to his lips and taken a sip, he heard somebody's yelling at him: "Hey, stop it! You don't deserve to drink water from here, you just blue scholar worker. This water is only for engineers for God sake!" The voice came from an American engineer worked for the company.

The young worker was stopped of the voice, craved for the water still. He understood very well that he just a poor boy graduated from elementary school. If there was some educational background he could be proud of, it must be his Qur'an Tahfidz which had no value in this oil company controlled by American management.

The strong uneasy voice was always clinging on his head. He started asking himself: Why did it happen to me? Why was I forbidden to have a glass of water? Was it because I am only a low level worker and they are engineers? If I were an engineer, would I be allowed to drink the water? Is it possible for me to be an engineer like them?

The very query was kept in his mind, and the accident became a momentum for him to get a revenge. He found himself had a resolution to work hard during the day and started to continue his education at night. He worked very hard to achieve this, he had to sacrifice his life, felt very tired everyday. Some of his friends sometimes also underestimated and gave him hard times.

His hard work attained good result. He finished high school. The company, seeing his hard work, rewarded him an opportunity to continue his study. So he went to USA took his engineer under graduate program and mastering his geological study with a summa cum laude. He then was recommended by his professor to take his doctorate which he followed. The result was also summa cum laude.

Then he went back to his country and continued working to the company, now as a very valuable worker. Yes, he was back as an engineer and eligible to drink the previous forbidden water. That's it? No, his carrier was still climbing up. He was used to work very hard and catch his position. He became a supervisor, head of branch, general manager and at last he placed himself as the vice president of the company. That was the highest position could be achieved by local people. The American engineer that once yelled at him was under his supervision.

One day this western engineer came to him to ask for his leave permission. He said, "I want to apply for my leave. I hope you don't mind and don't make this in relation to the drinking water incident happened long time ago. I hope you forgive me and don't want to revenge for my very bad, cruel and rude manner on the past." The vice president, the used to be low-level unskilled worker replied calmly, "Deep from my heart I just want to thank you because you forbade me to drink the water that time. Yes, I once hated you, but it was long time ago and because of Allah bless, you were the reason I have achieved my success."

In a not long period, the ex indigence worker became the president director of the company. The first Arabian Director there. Do you know what is the company under him? The name is Aramco (Arabian American Oil Company), the world's biggest oil company. Under his leadership the company grows bigger and Arabian shares was getting more significant.

Now the compony produces 3.4 million barrels (540,000,000 m3) and controls more than 100 gas and oil fields in Saudi Arabia with total 264 billion barrels (4.20รข€”1010 m3) oil and 253 trillion gas reserved. On this achievement, the King of Saudi rewarded him to become the minister of petroleum and mineral resource, a very strong position for the development of oil business i the world. And the very extraordinary man in this story is Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi who is on the position as the Saudi Arabian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resource since 1995 until now.

In a way I think most of us can relate to this story. So, do not waste our energy being so negative - complain belakang bos ni tak betul, company ni teruk or whatsoever, instead twist the urge of revenge to the positive one. Action always speak louder than words, right?

P/S : Allah tidak akan mengubah nasib sesuatu bangsa jika dia sendiri tidak berushaha mengubahnya.

..Write You A Song..

Sangat sweet lagu ni...

Ok, mari dengar sambil berangan En Hubby main gitar and nyanyi lagu ini to me (well, in dreams, of course!) haha *feeling budak high school.

Owh, except for the part "I can't buy you nice things.." or "I can't give you the house you've been dreaming.." - please En Hubby don't sing that to me...ngeh ngeh ngeh

*Video clip nya tak de kot so layan lirik jelah yer :P

I don't know how to make lots of money
I got debts that I'm trying to pay
I can't buy you nice things, like big diamond rings
But that don't mean much anyway
I can't give you the house you've been dreaming
If I could I would build it alone
I'd be out there all day, just hammering away
Make us a place of our own

I will write you a song
That's how you'll know that my love is still strong
I will write you a song
And you'll know from this song that I just can't go on without you

I don't know that I'd make a good soldier
I don't believe in being violent and cruel
I don't know how to fight, but I'll draw blood tonight
If somebody tries hurting you tonight

I will write you a song
That's how you'll know that my love is still strong
I will write you a song
And you'll know from this song that I just can't go on without you

Now that it's out on the table (it's out on the table)
Both of us knew all along (knew all along)
I've got your loving and you've got my song

I don't know how to make lots of money
I don't know all the right things to do
I can't say where we'll go, but the one thing I know
Is how to be a good man to you
Until I die that's what I'll do

I will write you a song
That's how you'll know that my love is still strong
I will write you a song
And you'll know from this song that I just can't go on without
I will write you a song (I will write you a song)
That's how you'll know that my love is still strong (love is still strong)
I will write you a song
And you know from this song that I just can't go on without you

..SNDROM..

*semalam dah siap taip, siap publish lg, entah macam mana, entri tu tak muncul pun kat blog ni. Isk isk - terpaksa taip balik semula.

Nak cerita pasal buku ni sebenarnya - which is a very inspiring touch from Malaysia's photography legend.

Buku ni memang tak de sentuh on technical aspect langsung but I think RM80 is still very worth it since he shares most of his earliest experience, mostly of his struggle to begin and survive the photography world. He also emphasizes on marketing strategy which is very crucial in order to be very very well-known.

It's interesting to go through his challenging journey to make millions out of RM90 within two years. *mari berangan nak jadi macam dia hehe

All in all, i think this book is a must-have to pencinta fotografi yang nak buat duit :)

Owh, btw, buku ni hanya dijual online so boleh taip 'saifulnang wordpress' (lupa website link dia) to order. Hasil jualan buku ni ada disumbangkan ke Rumah Pengasih Warga Prihatin, so sambil menimba ilmu, sambil mendermalah.
