This song will bring me back to the Terminal Bas Butterworth dekat jeti feri tu. Masa tu terminal tu dah terbakar. Year 2001. Masa matriks. Tak ingat sem berapa. Tapi ingat suasana petang tu. Bersama dengan budak-budak Gang Bilik Belakang (haha nama gang tak boleh blah) yang balik kampung bas malam.

Lagu ni berkumandang masa kami jalan celah-celah kaunter bas. Bukannya tak pernah dengar lagu tu sebelum tu. Tapi entah kenapa bila dengar kat terminal masa tu, dia lekat dalam memori sampai sekarang.

I have a few. Well, actually, a lot. So I'm going to make a list out of it in this blog.

This song reminds me of my journey with my family all the way from Terengganu to Penang the day before USM registration day back in 2002.

It was a very long journey.

My father played the SO7 album on the cassette player almost the whole journey. Yes, he liked SO7, too, influenced by me ehehe.

So every time I listen to it I'd remember how the 6 of us cramped in one car for more than 12 hours, the highways, the stops, the "are-we-there-yet" feelings.

And there were no Waze or Google Map whatsoever back then so, once we reached Penang, Abah had to ask around on how to get to Nibong Tebal.

I have to admit the memory was a little vague now, well, it's been 15 years. But some songs will never get old, right?

Starstruck

I bought her book "Puisi Tepi Jalan" at the Vendeur Festival back in 2015. And even got her autograph. One of her puisi in the book:

..Masterchef..

I just started watching the beginning episodes of US Masterchef Season 2. Last time it's aired, I I only got to watch it at Top 8 episode. *Big thanks to the re-run :)

What I love about Masterchef US is the inspiration from most of the contestants. The guts to pursuit their real dream - quitting whatever they're doing - just believing that cooking is their passion. That is true inspiration to me.

And there's one contestant who cooks for his sick wife, EVERYDAY, for 16 years - seriously, I cried watching that couple. They are so damn sweet. *apa hal tengok Masterchef pun nangis nih?
I quote him:

"My wife was down to 78lbs at 35 years old. I had to basically force-feed her. She wouldn't eat if it didn't taste good. So I have to learn to cook food that tastes good"

Huhuhu, dahlah ada usaha pergi belajar masak, masak pulak tiap-tiap hari for his wife, still stick around for his sick wife - for 16 years?! Hundreds 'awww'..

Malaysia version? I don't know.... I mean, Maggi? Seriously?

Inspiration-wise? I don't get that at all. But I still watch it, though, because I just love food (*to be precise, EAT food, not COOK).

..Demam Piala Malaysia..

Well, not really.

But when it comes to Terengganu be in final game, yes, I'm all fevered :p

I hoped T-Team made it to final too so that I don't have to have to watch the final game because it doesn't really matter then which team wins since they're both Terengganu team. Ngeh3x...

But of course, it won't be interesting, right?

..Macaron..

Since the first time I saw the pictures on internet, I couldn't resist the temptation to try this:

So since yesterday ada buat makan-makan sikit, early of last week I pun propose lah kat En Hubby - nak beli untuk tetamu-tetamu (padahal tuan rumah ni yang nak sangat rasa). Harga dia -mak aihh, tapi nak rasa punya pasal order jugaklah 50 bijik. I google "Macaron in JB" maka terjumpa blog ini.

Saya order dua flavor - cheese and blueberry in mix colors, size lebih kurang syiling 50 sen. Rasa dia manis, which I like :) between cheese and blueberry, I prefer cheese flavor. For 50 pcs tu, harga die RM75.

Tapi bila susun macam ni, almost everybody ingat perhiasan haha.

Thanks to En Hubby yang sanggup layan saya pergi ambik sampai ke Permas sinun.

Nanti nak order lagilah, but En hubby dah bagi cabaran untuk saya buat sendiri. Erk?? Tak mampu nak menyahut cabaran itu rasanya....

..Ketam Masak Cili dengan Telur..

Last Friday went to Kampung Pendas, PTP with En Hubby and two BILs. This time we ordered crab - Masak Cili.

And I found the recipe - simple saja rupanya, boleh cuba nih untuk berbuka *tapi bukan hari ni lah kot :)

1. Tumbuk bawang merah, bawang putih dan halia. Tumiskan.
2. Masukkan sos cili dan air.
3. Bila mendidih, masukkan ketam. Biar mendidih lama sikit.
4. Masukkan telur yang dah dipukul terlebih dahulu.
5. Macam biasa - garam, gula dan serbuk perasa sesuka hati.
6. Siap!

..Jurulatih Pertama..

Hubby went out-station last week. Pergi customer plant di Shenzhen, tapi dia stay kat Hong Kong. Sebelum dia pergi saya dah pesan tak payah nak belikan saya apa-apa, berjimatlah 'kononnya'.

Hari pertama dia sampai Hong Kong, katanya first day belum pergi China lagi so jalan-jalan kat Hong Kong dulu. Malam tu dia text saya. Owh, conversation agak sengal sikit so feel free to skip eheh :P

Hubby : Syg ngah wt pe?
Me : Tgk fb...pasal BERSIH.abg mkn dh ke?syg xmkn pn lg.xselera.pastu sakit pala dr pg td.....
Hubby : Sian. ni abg ade beli sesuatu kt syg.pakai utk raya.mesti syg suka giler.abg anta mms xdpt.xtau npe.huhuhu
Me : Abg beli handbag yer...tulke?
Hubby : Iyer.....handbag kesukaan syg
Me : COACH???
Hubby : Aaah.die macam clutch.xbesar.sederhana.leyla pakai raya.
Me: Uwaaaa...terharunyerr..rse cm baik trus sakit pala hehehe..tq boo boo, sayang boo boo :) Eh, ni hok ori ke hok gred aa?
Hubby : Ori la.ade warranty 1year

Seriously, memang terus baik sekejap sakit kepala malam tu. Hehehe. And yang comelnya, dia tau clutch tu apa, so cute *ye, sila muntah.

Memang saya ada banyak kali cakap kat En hubby yang saya berazam nak beli jugak one of the designer handbag, at least sekali seumur hidup jadilah, tapi taklah berniat nak dia belikan pun. I actually would prefer to save money and buy it myself since this is just a 'want' thing, not 'need' thing.

But anyway, I'm so thankful he always take note of every silly things I say. Thanks Boo-Boo :)

I love the lyrics and she writes her own song. *I always love singers/bands who writes their own song - they tend to sound honest and full of soul.

I also love the cover version by Lea Michele in Glee. *Owh, Prom Night episode sangat best. Suka sangat Mercedes and Sam hehe. Ok, enough about Glee.

..Rose Shawl, Special Parking and Irma Hasmie..

Tadi pergi pesta konvo UTM dengan niat nak cari rose shawl. Entah macam mana En Hubby telah di misidentified as one of the urusetia, tak pasal-pasal dapat parking special. Macam mana tuh? Haha, yang penting, tak payah susah-susah cari parking ngeh ngeh ngeh.

Btw, rose shawl tu saya dapat harga RM19 per piece kat sini. Sebelum ni ada survey kat a few online boutiques, paling murah diorang jual RM30 (belum include postage fee). Nasib baik I hold dulu nak beli kat online hari tu :)

Eh, sebenarnya nak cerita pasal dia ni (yang pakai shawl polka dot tu):




Terdengar MC ada announce yang Irma Hasmie ada kat tapak konvo tu. Saya ajak En Hubby pergi dekat nak tengok rupa dia yang dah bertukar imej ni. Sweetkan dia pakai tudung. Tapi gambar jauh, tak nampak sangat, pakai phone camera jek time ni.

Actually tengah patah hati sangat-sangat. Ada satu insiden kat office tadi memang buat saya patah hati dan macam nak tulih surat resign dah ni huhu.

Saya suka sangat tengok Anne Hathaway as the Oscars host, contrary to her host partner yang entah apa-apa - macam tak ada perasaan sepanjang jadi pengacara tu.
